Life on THE RIM.

I cracked up a little when a guy at church said to Brodee and me: "Welcome to The Rim."

ANYWHO! We are in Payson now! We've been here for almost 3 weeks and I can say that I absolutely LOVE it! I'm a little bit wondering why all small town folk don't live here? Maybe they're turned off by all the log cabin lookin' houses? Or the super steep driveways that your trailer hitch drags on when you're going up and down? (true story) Or the name of the highway: BEELINE HWY. I was at first :) BUT since being here I've found "normal" neighborhoods and alternative names for the hwy. PHEW!

The weather here is perfect. hot enough to go swimming if you want but cool enough to actually be outside doing something. I hear the winters aren't too bad either...(guess we'll have to wait and see on that for ourselves though!) We have been keeping busy playing at the parks and going to the library, two things that Bentley could never get sick of! Bentley has taken the move so well. I was seriously stressin' that she would miss her grandparents too much but she has taken it really well. Nollie's just going with the flow and is as jolly as ever!

We've only been to our new ward once but we think we like it a lot. Everyone is really nice and has made us feel welcomed. There are quite a few young mama's like myself so I'm purty happy 'bout that. Everyone in the ward seems TIIIIIGHT and I feel like it's because there's not an overload of Mormons here. I think that's a good thing :)

Brodee is liking his new job...well he thinks he will like his new job. He has only been on the floor once so far so we'll give him a few months to decide. I'm crossing my fingers that he continues to like it! I tried taking a picture of him in his scrubs on his first day and he wouldn't let me! He said only little kids do that on their first day of school. Psh ya right.

All in all we are really happy to be here and hope to be here for a really long time!

Oh you pill, making the rest of the world jealous! We are all so sick of the heat down here.

Enjoy Payson, it is a pretty neat little place, and it looks big to us now!

Brodee is wrong, everyone needs that first day shot, so grab one when he comes home all tired and ragged . . . that'll teach him!!

glad that Bentley adjusted well. Braeli had about 6 melt downs.

Okay I'm seriously jealous about the weather. I frequently wonder why I live in Phoenix where I can't even enjoy 10 months out of the year. Payson is cute and you are cute so it's perfect!

Yay for living in a place with cooler weather! Jealous there. In answer to your question, I really like the "Your Baby Can Read!" DVDs. You HAVE to watch them everyday, which I'm terrible about remembering. It's part of Madi's chores though, so we do pretty well. I have both girls watch them, and it's awesome to see Madi recognize words and to see her be so proud of herself. Love it! She's learning that it's a pretty cool thing to know how to read so I'm hoping she'll WANT to watch them more. I don't know how much they are, I got my set from my Mom-in-law, but I think they are well worth the investment if you're dedicated to putting the time in everyday for 8 months {that's how long it takes to get through the series}.
